Numerical Aspects of Isogeometric Boundary Element Methods: (Nearly) Singular Quadrature, Trimmed NURBS and Surface Crack Modeling

This work presents some numerical aspects of isogeometric boundary element methods (IGABEM). The behavior hyper-singular and nearly-singular integration is first explored on the distorted NURBS surface. Several treatments are proposed to enhance quadrature in framework analysis. Then a implementation IGABEM trimmed detailed. Based this idea, surface crack problem modeled incorporation with phantom method. method allows intersect body while preserving original parametrization NURBS-based CAD geometry.
